Older Ravenclaws have finely honed the art of asking just the right argumentative questions to direct their teacher onto an entire-class-session-long tangent about something entirely irrelevant to the course material.
Can you imagine Ravenclaws trying to overhaul the entire school system with Muggle ideas. Trying to figure out how to best teach people, more concerned with how people learn than what they’re learning.

I really don’t think she was trying to do blackface, it looks too metallic and alien-like. I see where people are coming from but even if it was an attempt of blackface, she isn’t making fun or mocking those with darker skin. She literally says she wishes her skin looked like this all the time. People need to lay off and not be so quick to take offense from somewhere so unnecessary.
do they also realize that cosmetics impact the look you get under blacklight? and neon and blacklight mixed changes it as well. so that example of a white person wearing NO make-up with only one type of light is obviously not going to come out the same as a professionally done mixed light cosmetic pic which has been through photoshop a few dozen times as well. kind of can’t make that comparison. theres a tv ad on where I live at the moment where they put people on a beach under UV filters and what it shows would amaze you. then they put sunblock on and do the same and it’s LITERAL black. not “African person” black. ACTUAL black. it’s not being racist it’s just what the filter does. with that knowledge in mind I’m sure you can understand how this could have happened in a professional photo-shoot.
and in anycase, she’s not belittling anyone. she likes it. the same way THIS woman is not belittling anyone with her clearly not naturally born straight blonde, she just likes it because it looks nice.
But I’m guessing the kinds of people who are upset about the Kylie picture are the same ones who’ll defend bleaching if anyone complained. i’m not, btw.
